Our Impact

As a small business, we want to work towards being the small change in the world that the environment and community need. We are working towards supporting and stocking local beauty and wellness products that give back. We also want to support eco friendly brands, reduce our waste, and do what we can for those in need.

So, what are we currently doing at a salon to move towards this impact?

We raise awareness, funds, and collect items for a different charity/organisations each month. We also intensely evaluate each product company we stock to make sure they align with our ethos. Alongside with this, we are also a sustainable salon.

Sustainable Salons

A proud Profit-For-Purpose organisation

Sustainable salons are on a mission to make sustainable business, business as usual. While others were busy talking about it, they got busy pioneering an easy-to-use resource recovery program for the feel-good industry. One that makes a real measurable impact – diverting up to 95% of salon materials from landfill, and re-purposing it to help the planet and people, while enabling local businesses to thrive.​

Materials that are collected from salons include paper, metal, plastic, hair, chemicals, sharps, disposables, razors, tools, and more. Once collected, these materials are either recycled or repurposed into close loop products. All proceeds generated from recycling salon materials go to OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest to help feed the hungry.

To date, the sustainable salon program has:

Metals diverted

Meal donations to OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest- 350,470

Ponytails collected- 285,222

Paper recycled- 647,204kg

Hair collected- 96,784kg

Chemicals recycled- 79,395L

Plastic kept in circulation- 529,003kg

Total resources diverted from landfill- 1,983,842kg

Giving Back

We are lucky enough to be in an industry where we get to treat, pamper, and empower people everyday. It is a part of our purpose to make people feel good inside and out.

We also understand however, that not everyone has the privilege of being able to have this experience. So each month we choose to give back to a charity in need. Whether that's by donating sanitary items, raising funds for mental health services, or collecting clothing for women and children fleeing domestic violence. We want to be the small change this world needs, and we will continue to what we can to ensure everyone receives the care they deserve.
